A Message of Thanks to Everyone

As we close the 2016 season, the WSLL Board of Directors would like to thank all of our players, parents, managers, coaches, umpires, team parents, and concession stand workers you for a successful season.  This year we had challenges with the weather, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we tried to reschedule as many games as possible.

We are looking forward to seeing you again in the Fall or next Spring and for those of you graduating, good luck and stop by Byron, you are always welcome.

WSLL Ends 2016 Season

WSLL President Ron Zabko opened the ceremony with the Welcome.  

He recognized all volunteers and gave special thanks to the mentorship that he received from Craig Stine, Greg Adams, and John Monaco. He also thanked the Board of Directors and gave a special thanks to the WSLL Executive Committee for their guidance and sage advice.

Glory Days Grill Offers Special Promotions to WSLL

When you dine at any of the Glory Days Northern Virginia locations from March 1 to October 31 they will contribute 10% of your food bill to WSLL. Simply ask your server for a copy of your guest check (not credit card receipt) and drop it in the box marked "Glory Days Grill" at the Concessions Stand at Byron Ave Park or at Fenway. 


2016 WSLL Postseason Tournament

For the Majors, AAA, AA, and A levels the regular season ends on May 28.  However for these levels we have a post season tournament that runs until June 11.

For the 5TBall and Tball levels the season ends on on June 4. There is no post season tournament for these levels.

West Springfield Little League will continue to implement a mandate from Little League Baseball, Inc. that requires all local Little Leagues to conduct background checks on Managers, Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams.

When Your E-Mail Address Changes

If your mail address changes e-mail VP Communications, John Monaco. Provide your name, child's name, playing level(s), old e-mail and new-email.

NOTE: We usually update our email list the immediately after the next season's registration. However, if you wish your name removed please contact me at the address above.

Little League Changing Age Determination Date - Update

Little League ages are changing again.  For the 2018 season, players born on or after September 1, 2005 will use August 31st as their league-age determination date.  This means that certain players will be the same league-age in 2016 as they were in 2015.  Update: Players born between May 1, 2005 and August 31, 2005 will be grandfathered as 12 year olds for the 2018 season.  For more information, please see the following release from Little League International.
